  Jewish Federation- Southbury, CT
   Pomperaug Health District will celebrate its recent appointment by the US Surgeon General as the housing agency of New England’s newest Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) unit with a free Preparedness Symposium on Thursday, August 12, 2010 from 8:30 am to 1 pm at the Jewish Communities Federation campus, 444 Main St. North, Southbury. The Pomperaug Health District serves the towns of Southbury, Woodbury, and Oxford, but its MRC unit will join forces with Torrington Area Health District’s MRC unit in its efforts to serve all of Department of Emergency Management & Homeland Security’s Region 5.
